To respond to the Compulsory Insurance Coverage for Agency-Hired Overseas Workers, as mandated by Section 23 of Republic Act 10022 (Amending RA 8042, The Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act of 1995), On October 2010, Mr. Eduardo Roco Atayde (+) launched PAMI-Migrant Workers Insurance Division. After the demise of Mr. Atayde, his heirs carried on with his legacy.
With the growth in the market for hired Overseas Filipino Workers and to focus more attention on our modern-day heroes, PAMICO Management and Insurance Agency, Inc. supported by honed and seasoned personnel, was incorporated on September 02, 2021 under existing Philippine laws. PAMICO has the primary purpose of acting as insurance agent, general agent, manager or managing agent for and on behalf of any insurance company, whether life or non-life. PAMICO is affiliated with Passenger Accident Management and Insurance Agency, Inc. (PAMI) who was the forefront in the development of the Passenger Personal Accident Insurance Program of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) since 1999.
With its lead insurers COCOLIFE Insurance Company and COCOGEN Insurance Company, Inc. PAMICO provides the Migrant Workers with the maximum insurance protection. On top of their financial strength being one of the biggest in Life and Non-Life Insurance both Cocolife Insurance Company and COCOGEN Insurance Company, Inc. have appointed PAMICO as their common management company that would administer the compulsory insurance coverage for Overseas Filipino Workers. The concept of seeking the services of an independent management company has been adopted to accord the OFWs a more focused attention on insurance matters which starts with the issuance of their insurance policies and ends in the satisfactory settlement of claims.
PAMICO’s Head Office is located at Unit 2403 One Corporate Center, Doña J. Vargas Ave corner Meralco Ave, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. PAMICO is equipped with on-line computers and communications equipment for easy access and coordination and are linked in real time into the PAMICO web site www.pamico.ph.
Providing a solid foundation of PAMICO’s business strength and smooth operations is the experience and expertise of the Officers and members of the Board of Directors of PAMICO, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Madam Amy T. Atayde and President, Ms. Theresa T. Atayde, who are a select group of leaders in their respective fields of competence who believe that service comes first before financial gain.
